There are several apps that I uses every day consistently like my emails, facebook, twitter, messaging, etc but if I didn't have this particular app the rest wouldn't be as fun and easy to use as they are. So what is my "must have" Android app? Swype! When I changed over from using my beloved Blackberry Curve to using a touch screen Android phone I had the hardest time using the on-screen keyboard. It took me forever to type something and I was becoming way to proficient at one-finger typing to be worth anything on any other keyboard. That's when I found Swype.

Those Summer Nights...
...well, almost summer nights. I guess we need to get through the Spring nights first! As I type this I'm sitting on my back porch and the temperature is perfect. It's probably about 70 degrees out and no humidity. The sun is just about to set for the night and I have a wide open view of the big Texas sky. I have a few citronella candles burning and the house is quiet. It's rare that I get these moments. (cue the 2 dogs barking next door and Highway 114 traffic noise)

One App, 3 devices
For more years than I can remember, I have used the site www.allrecipes.com . I started out using it to get new recipes to try and then it progressed into my online recipe box. I have imported all of my recipes into my "recipe box" on Allrecipes. I spend countless days hours looking through recipes, trying to find new things to try and ways to change up the Jones household weekly meals. I tend to lean toward the recipes that have at least 4 stars, preferably 5 stars. Once I've found one that I want to try, I save it to my recipe box then I go to the "read reviews" and start reading what other people have written about that particular recipe. There's a lot of good information in the reviews section, like what worked or didn't work, how a reviewer changed up the recipe and liked it better, etc.

Coffee Pic of the Day
What is your favorite cup of coffee moment? Coffee for me at any time is my favorite, but my absolute favorite cup of coffee is with an open Bible next to it. I prefer no other way to begin my day than with a fresh cup of coffee and some quiet time reading my Bible. How do you enjoy your first cup of the day?

Virtual Spring Break Vacation
This year we decided to stay home for spring break. Actually, most years we decide to stay home for spring break. We've taken a few "big" trips like to Sea World in San Antonio and Disney World in Florida (which was extremely packed and hard to maneuver through the crowds of spring break families!), but most times we are in the Metroplex. As a mom, I take advantage of the free time the girls have and usually have them clean their closets that have been neglected over the past several months. I fear losing our cat or dog if they ever wandered into one of the girls closets. Occasionally we will try to find some things to do that we either wouldn't normally do or that we never find the time to do. This year, however, our youngest daughter got a new job and started training this week and our oldest daughter is finishing up working at a retail job before she starts a more "professional" job next week, so that leaves us with not a lot of time to do anything as a family. Sad, I know, right?

Unexpected Morning
As I worked on setting up my new blog until 1 a.m. and finally falling into bed exhausted, little did I know what would be unfolding in Japan over the next few hours. When I thought my biggest "concern" this morning would be whether I could talk my husband into getting me a new iPad 2 today, thousands of other people were facing a devastating tsunami and the destruction of part of their country. Now a little electronic toy seems meaningless and pointless. Priorities become much more focused. My sincere prayers will be with the people of Japan today and over the next few days, weeks and months.
